The groups, organised
generally by suburb, dance mestizo rithyms ((Diablada, Morenada,
Tuntuna, Rey Caporal, Kullawada, Waca waca, amongst others). Their
dresses are colourful and generally embroidered with silver and
gold threads, ornamental stones, lace and feathers, huge blankets,
boots or high heal shoes. The music that goes with the dance is
usually played by bands of at least 50 musicians with wind instruments,
bass drums, cymbals and drums.
