Puno has a little more that a million inhabitants, with centuries of history, that are expressed in a variety of cultural activities throughout their daily lives.

 

RITES AND CUSTOMS

Every race establishes its rituality as an answer to its vision of the cosmos, believe or faith.

The races of the Peruvian and Bolivian high flatland is deeply Christian by Spanish inheritance and fundamentally Andean by reciprocity to what they from Mother Nature, its Father Sun and its protectors: “Apus” and Deities.


As a product of this syncretism propitiatory, thank giving and memory rites are still popular. The two first are complementary in a circle of life basically productive and those of memory are moved by love to others and by faith.
